Teacher Training - CELTA & DELTA Courses

CELTA-Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults

Duration: 4 weeks (120 hours)

IH Lisbon Teacher Training: IH lisbon is one of the founder members of the International House World Organisation and has been involved in teacher training since 1972.

Candidates: This course is intended for speakers of English without previous experience who wish to enter the profession and for those already in the profession who have no formal or practical teaching qualifications.

Minimum requirements: Candidates should be over the age of 20 at the start of the course, have a standard of education which will allow entry to Higher Education in their country, and have an awareness of language and a competence in English, both written and spoken, that enables them to follow the course and complete all assessed elements successfully.

DELTA - Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults

Part-time: September - May ( 200 hours)

Candidates:This course is intended for practising EFL teachers who hold the Cambridge CTEFLA/CELTA/CELTYL and have at least two years of full-time TEFLA experience.

Requirements for DELTA candidatesCandidates should also have a first degree or equivalent level of education. Candidates are also expected to have employment in the area of Lisbon as the teaching practice component is conducted with the candidate's own students in their place of employment.
